The first thing to do is to download Charles.

If you use Firefox, download and install the Firefox Extension from the same download page above.

Installation is easy.

• On Windows, run the setup application to install Charles in your Programs menu;
• On Mac OS X, copy the Charles application into your Applications folder;
• On Linux, unzip the tar.gz archive in an appropriate location.

If you have previously installed Charles and you are performing an upgrade; first make sure that Charles isn’t running and then install or copy over the top of the previous installation.
